Three tiles: Saturday 31 October, five services return to Sengkang Bus Interchange; since 25 October, new Tengah services 873, 873M and 874; from 22 November, service 248M extends to Tuas Port

Three bus changes matter this week and next. Five services move back to Sengkang Bus Interchange on Saturday 31 October, three new services have started in Tengah, and service 248M is getting a longer route from 22 November. This post goes through each one, using the notices on the LTA announcements page, which we read on 28 October 2026.

In short: services 80, 86, 87, 372 and 374 go back to Sengkang Bus Interchange on Saturday 31 October. Services 873, 873M and 874 started in Tengah on 25 October. Service 248M reaches Tuas Port Transport Hub from Sunday 22 November. If you saved a bus stop that is changing, check it before you leave.

Sengkang: five services go back to the interchange

Since 31 January 2026, services 80, 86, 87, 372 and 374 have left from Compassvale Bus Interchange while Sengkang Bus Interchange was being upgraded. On Saturday 31 October they return to Sengkang, and each resumes its original route. LTA says the upgrading works are complete. Services 83, 159, 163, 371 and 965 kept running from Sengkang throughout.

Services 372 and 374 had one more temporary stop, on Sengkang Square at the closed G18 taxi stand. That stop (67689) goes away on 31 October. If you use it, your bus will now leave from the interchange itself, which connects to the MRT station and Compass One. The poster is also at go.gov.sg/sengkangith-reopening.

Tengah: three new services since 25 October

Tengah is a new town in the west. Under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme, LTA added three services on Sunday 25 October. The details below come from the 873 and 873M notice and the 874 notice. Tower Transit runs all three.

ServiceWhere it goesFrom Tengah
874Tengah Interchange to Choa Chu Kang MRT, via Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1 and Avenue 4. About 24 stops, past several schools.5:15am to midnight, daily. From opposite Choa Chu Kang Station, to 1am.
873Tengah to Bukit Gombak MRT, then Hume and Hillview.5:30am to 11:30pm, daily
873MTengah to Bukit Gombak MRT, turning back at Bukit Batok Street 52.5:45am to 11:15pm, daily

873 and 873M share the same road to Bukit Gombak and take turns, so only every other bus goes on to Hillview and Hume. On weekday peaks each one comes every 20 minutes, which is about every 10 minutes between the two. Off peak and at weekends it is every 30 minutes each, about every 15 minutes combined. If you want the Downtown Line at Hume or Hillview, wait for a 873. If you only need Bukit Gombak and the North South Line, either one works. Service 874 gives Tengah a direct bus to Choa Chu Kang MRT and Lot One.

Tuas: 248M goes on to Tuas Port

From Sunday 22 November, service 248M runs between Tuas Bus Terminal and Tuas Port Transport Hub. There is one new stop, 21009 on Tuas South Avenue 5, named PSA Tuas Port Trspt Hub, and the poster says it is not wheelchair accessible. The route of service 248 is unchanged.

The poster is also at go.gov.sg/svc248m-extension. The map on it shows connections to Tuas Link and Tuas West Road stations from Tuas Bus Terminal.
